Unless hackers and viruses have turned a new leaf what did I do that fixed my pc. It was glitching every so often the programs would say not responding and have a white film over them I couldn't do nothing I did the following. Scanned for viruses with Nod 32 scanned with spy bot (found faults) scanned with pc utillities (found faults) I also booted and tryed fixing with the windows cd the final thing I tried was to boot in safe mode which was the last thing I did and it started working so was it the safe mode and the only thing I can see altering is the visual display. did this fix my pc. Just dont want to do it again thaTS ALL

can anyone tell me where to download the best & easy Video Edit? That doesnt need to pay, or doesnt have time limit, i can use it as long as i can. 'cause i wanted to create a video edit, or as a music video for my friends.. Or i can cut my friends into a different background. where can i find like that? I just hope that it won't give me virus xD

Actually I am using my old 1GB mp3 player as a pen drive... It was affected by virus.. It showed tat the media is WRITE-PROTECTED and NOT ABLE TO FORMAT that.. Pls Help me out...

I've had my laptop a little over 3 years and it's been slowing down over the years. For example, it takes a couple minutes to open Mozilla Firefox. I know it has to do with all of the junk on my hard drive, but I don't know how to go about cleaning it out. Should I completely wipe out my computer and start anew? If so, - will I have to re-order/ pay for programs such as Norton Antivirus? - will I need to install another copy of Microsoft Office/ buy a new version? Or, is there any FREE program that can help clean out the junk on my hard drive without completely wiping it out? If so, - Please name and describe the program. Sorry for the long question, but thanks in advance for the help!

I logged on today and it just wasn't there. It's not hidden. I've tried putting explorer into the task manager and it popped up for a couple seconds then disappeared again. When I rebooted it, It was there for a couple seconds and again, poofed. I scanned my computer for virus's and nothing came up with that. Can someone tell me what to do? I've seen many of these kinds of questions with no answers that worked for me.

Anytime I am connected to wireless internet it periodically stops functioning as if I am no longer connected. However, the computer shows that it is still connected, and people around me are having no problems at all. This usually happens four or five times in a two hour period. I try reconnecting, but it only lasts maybe ten minutes. My computer is regularly scanned for viruses.

The last update was 12/10 and I check everyday and there is nothing, not even for my AVG virus protection, its like nothing is updating, which is unusual since its updates every week or so.

mmk, so my antivirus expires in march and i'm thinking about switching....i currently have trend micro internet security, because it came with my laptop last christmas, however i'm considering going back to norton, because i had them for like 7 years on my old computer and had very few problems...it blocked alot of crap from my computer too lol. i know that trend micro has blocked some stuff too but it updates constantly and it drives me a little crazy lol. i absolutely refuse to get mcafee, i hate mcafee. its a piece of crap not worth my money, so many people that i know who had it and had trouble with it eithor just glitches or letting crap in other antivirus programs wouldn't have. and they didnt have their settings turned down low...i dont trust the free antiviruses eithor <avg> avast, avira, etc] because i just dont feel safe with them...i've heard kaspersy is pretty good, but what is in your opinion the best <thats>not eithor mcafee or one of the free ones? lol] thank you!!
