My anti virus for comodo internet security won't update. A reminder popped up saying it was out of date. So i tried to manually update it. it stops at 51% and says "failed to update the virus signature database. Please check your internet connection and try again later". not sure what it means since my internet is running just fine

How to fix errors in registry after viruses have been removed....my pc was infected by 3-4 trojans....I removed them and now my computer restarts on its own while i am working.. i think this is due to errors in registry due to those viruses.....pls help me...

I just got kaspersky internet security yesterday and I scaned my computer with a full scan and it found viruses... So I tried to quarantine them but every time i do that it asks me to open a file.. I've never seen that from any antivirus programs.. THere is also another option: " clear all" which deletes report entry.. is that how you delete the infection or is there another way?

My computer has had a horrible virus for at least a week. Instead of taking it to a repair shop, my dad bought me mcafee. Today I installed it and it took about 6 hours. But now when I type in my password for my profile, it acts like it will log me in but then it goes back to the log in screen where the different profiles are listed. I have windows xp. What should I do I'm starting to lose hope.

MY pc is at blazing speed and Firefox is super fast and IE CANT Connect!! I tried firewall on and off it does not work, I off antiVirus it does not work. It happened only today and I dont go to any porn sites or games sites my whole entire system is writing on words and yahoo answers How can I make it work again!! I have a piece of adware on my computer that I obviously wish to get rid of (it slows down my computer... -.-). Avira Free Version is a perfectly fine antivirus program, but apparently it does not have this (insert obscene adjective here) adware on its detection list. I looked into this adware a bit more and found that AVG should have it on its detection list, which would mean a :D for me and a :( for the adware... elimation of the adware in other words. There are several problems with this idea, though. 1. I am not sure about this, but I believe I read somewhere that having multiple AVs (AntiVirus) may cause confliction between programs... is this true? (read titular question for the specifics) 2. Supposing that the above question were answered with a "Yes", I would have to remove Avira. I have also read that this action is difficult to fully complete... is this true and if so, how would I go about screwing the adware (FYI it is called WhenU SaveNow, and it is despicable in my personal opinion)? 3. Should someone else incidentally have this (virus? adware? program?)... thing... and have successfully removed it, could you answer back with your solution? Notes about the *censor*ing software... I am aware that you (ahem) should (ahem) be able to remove the "thing" (I refuse to name it except in an above example) in Windows' Add/Remove Programs panel. It is not a part of the list of removable items, so I assume it must have latched onto a download (silly brother >:O). Because my computer is second-hand, it has a variety of rather shifty programs (in my paranoid opinion). Flock I think is decent, Limewire... not so decent, my idiot brother's downloads off Limewire... VERY untrustworthy. However, the adware might have been present before that bozo downloaded Limewire, so I can't fix the blame on Limewire. Also, this adware updates itself and seems to "read" the content on the web pages I browse and display related content... fortunately, it does not understand Mandarin. The adware PHAILS (phails, fails, same thing) in that it displays its unconvincingly poor "Click me" (the "click me" idea is displayed in many ways...) ideas in Internet Explorer while I browse in Mozilla Firefox -.- Any solution would be welcome.

it started a couple of weeks ago, the keyboard and touch pad stopped working, thought it must be a virus so ran scans with AVG and Avira but nothing showed, the problem seems intermittent, sometimes everything seems fine and then it all goes weired again usually starting with the curser either not responding or jumping all over the screen and sometimes disappearing altogether. I have ran C cleaner, Spy-bot and a couple of hours ago cleaned the registry with Reg-cure, apparently I had over 2000 problems, none of these made any difference. I decided to do a full recovery but when I follow the instructions and try to boot from the recovery disc it just tries to boot normally and asks for my account password which I cant enter because the keyboard ain't working. Any ideas

now a few days ago i was on my most used account on my computer and outta nowhere it says i have a virus and that everything is infected and anytime i click on anything it says the application cannot be executed because it is infected and this keeps popping up every 5 seconds and its annoying because i have a lot of pictures,videos,music,etc. on that account and its only that account that is infected and no other ones which i think doesn't make sense but whatever is there anyway to transfer my stuff from my old account onto my new one? or maybe fix my old account?because nothing works on my old one. when i click on it to scan my computer it wont help it just scans which is bullsh*t HELP I DON'T WANNA LOSE ALL MY MUSIC ON ITUNES!!!!!!and other stuff!!

My computer was acting real funny, hanging up in the middle of processes, not letting me access task manager to quit them, etc.. I started in Safe Mode with networking and completed a full virus scan. I ran Chkdsk and it took 18 hours. It replaced bad clusters in about 20 files. Now Windows won't start. It gives me the option to repair and I click on it, but nothing ever happens other than a black screen with my cursor arrow on it. I tried to start Windows normally and the same thing happens. Please only answer if you know what you're talking about. Teens trying to up their points count by giving stupid answers will get thumbs down.
